Keith was born in 1960 on the Wirral and moved to Staffordshire early on in his life where he trained and worked as a mechanical fitter at Rugeley Power Station. A career change came in the early 1990’s as he decided to pursue his motorsport art and an opportunity arose to display and sell his work around many motor racing circuits. During this time Keith was also accepting commissions to design liveries to portray on race cars.
After moving to Wales in 2001 Keith started painting the stunning local scenery, steam engines, aircraft and ships but continues with his motorsport art as it is his passion and hobby.
Before any paint goes near the canvas Keith will fully research his subject and obtain where possible professional and expert help, resulting in some pictures taking one or two years to complete. An appearance on televisions Railway Walks and Michael Portillo’s great British Railway Journeys’ had a positive effect on his work. Over the years Keiths prints have been signed by many top drivers, co-drivers and pilots, these include;
Roger Clark – Tony Mason – Tony Pond – Andy Rouse – Paddy Hopkirk – Gwyndaf Evans – John Millington – Phil Mills – Kris Meeke –
Malcolm Wilson – Wg Cdr Tom Neil DFC*AFC AE – Flt Lt Alasdair Spence.
Keith would like to thank all the people who contribute and help him in producing his work no matter how big or small, without who’s help it would not be possible.
