Keiths painting shows the Brigantine CHARLOTTE being rigged out at Barmouth in 1862. She was built at Llyn Penmaen ( Penmaenpool) and was to travel worldwide until foundering 60 miles north of the Burlings in 1880, luckily all the crew were picked up by a Portugese schooner.
